April Dates Confirmed
2007 Event
Aquaculture Today 2007 will be held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh from April 17 to 19 and is brought to the industry by Fish Farmer Magazine. Next year’s event is expected to attract the attention of fish farmers, trade associations, government and non-government agencies, academics working in aquaculture research, feed companies, IT & technology suppliers, seafood buyers and other key decision-makers in the industry. At the 2006 conference, over ten countries active in fish farming were represented. With a range of important issues pertinent to the future of the industry set to be aired in Edinburgh next April, the focus of the world’s seafood industry will again fall on Scotland in 2007.
The event will feature formal presentations, excellent networking opportunities, delicious lunches, a special gala awards dinner and is set in one of the most exciting capital cities in the world. Delegates will be welcomed with a drinks reception on the evening of Tuesday April 17, with early registration available. The formal programme will begin on Wednesday April 18 and will comprise presentations from respected figures in UK aquaculture and leading experts from overseas. The varied programme of speakers will run over two days, punctuated with social, networking and exhibition opportunities.
A gala awards dinner on the evening of Wednesday April 18 will again be a conference highlight and will feature the announcement of the winners of coveted Aquaculture Today Fit for the Future Awards. The 2007 events ceremony will recognise four categories: innovation, finfish, shellfish and outstanding contribution to aquaculture.
Early enquiries for delegates passes will be rewarded with an “Early Bird Discount”, of £100 - the Early Bird deadline ends 28 February! One day and two day passes are available and both include full conference papers and an invitation to the gala awards dinner.
