Aquaculture Today awards finalist, Doug McLeod, Chairman of the Association of Scottish Shellfish Growers, has been acknowledged for his contribution to the industry.

"I'm very pleased to be nominated for the 'Contribution to Aquaculture' award, although after over 20 years in the industry, there are those who would say that the best contribution I could make to aquaculture would be to retire!

It’s always a pleasure to be involved with international meetings of the sector, a dynamic and fast expanding planet-wide industry, covering a wide diversity of expertise, from biology to engineering to marketing and economics. And I'm sure that the 'Aquaculture Today' Conference will reflect this diversity as well as providing opportunities for industry participants to develop networks and enjoy stimulating presentations on a variety of subjects."
