Johnson Sustainable Seafoods are pioneers for aquaculture

NO CATCH…JUST COD

Responding to the news that Johnsons Seafarms have been nominated for an Aquaculture Today Fit for the Future Innovation Award, Managing Director, Karol Rzepkowski said:

“From the very outset of NO CATCH…JUST COD’s development, Johnson Sustainable Seafoods (JSS) firmly committed to pioneering ground breaking techniques to produce sustainable, environmentally and welfare friendly organic cod. We’re delighted to be short-listed for Aquaculture Today’s Innovation award as it recognises and celebrates the success we have achieved in addressing these goals. Along the way, JSS has set many precedents; we are the world’s first producer of sustainable and organic cod, and as the first company to market farmed cod under a brand, we have also innovated and changed the way the aquaculture and seafood industry communicates with its consumers. We saw the www.nocatch.co.uk website as the perfect opportunity to develop an educational forum that communicates the serious messages associated with sustainable fish sources, but in a fun, entertaining and memorable manner”.

Karol Rzepkowski will make a presentation to delegates on day 1 of the conference as part of our "Reaching the consumer" session. You can now download our full conference programme on our home page.
