
Details of new workshop at Aquaculture Today 2005
The line-up for an exciting new addition to the Aquaculture Today 2005 Conference is now close to completion.
World experts on integrated aquaculture have answered the call from Scottish marine researchers SAMS Ardtoe to fly in and give presentations at the conference, at the Edinburgh Marriott.
The new integrated aquaculture workshop will take place on the 14th of April, the second day of the conference.
This one day workshop, hosted by the Scottish Association for Marine Science Ardtoe laboratory, showcases the latest developments from Canada, France, Ireland, Portugal and Scotland, where fish, shellfish and seaweeds are combined together in culture.
The emphasis will be on maximising productivity on former monoculture sites while demonstrating a reduction in environmental impact. Delegates are invited to join the speakers in an open floor debate.
Speakers include Shawn M Robinson, Andreas Schenhoff, Lynn Browne from CMAR Northern Ireland,Elizabeth Cook, from SAMS Oban and Sebastien Lefebvre,from the University of Caen, France.
