Work on self-regulation ideas for fish farming going well

Simplification to the rules affecting fish farms in Scotland is going well, the top UK conference on aquaculture has been told.

Richard Slaski, who has been seconded to work on new aquaculture for the Scottish Executive, said at present the industry was beset with rules from all sorts of agencies. He is leading a process to attempt to create a one stop shop rather than a shopping mall of agencies for fish farmers to work with.
