One of the highlights of the conference dinner programme was drawing the prize winners for the conference competition. The task was to identify not-so-recent pictures of UK aquaculture personalities. The competition was won by Ian Carr of EWOS who successfully identified all the pictures. Second prize was awarded to Lesley Jenkins of Scottish Quality Salmon and third prize to Jim Gallagher of Scottish Sea Farms.

Donations for entries to the competition and a collection on the night raised a total of £1425 which will be donated to the charity, Aquaculture Without Frontiers, for the assistance of fishing and aquaculture communities hit by the Tsunami in Aceh.

For the record, the correct answers were as follows:
